From routine trimming to deep-care fertilization and winter protection. We focus exclusively on palm trees — so we do every service better.
Dead, damaged, and overgrown fronds are more than an eyesore. Left unchecked, they become fire hazards, harbor pests, and add unnecessary weight that stresses the palm's trunk over time.
Our trimming process removes only what needs to go — we don't over-trim, which is one of the most common mistakes that shortens a palm's life. We leave the crown full and healthy, remove all debris, and leave your property looking sharp.
Removes dead, brown, and damaged fronds
Reduces fire hazard and pest nesting habitat
Improves curb appeal and property appearance
Full debris haul — we leave it clean
Palm tree shaving — also called skinning — removes the old brown leaf base stubs that remain after fronds die back. The result is a smooth, clean trunk that gives your palms that polished, resort-quality look.
This is one of the highest-impact aesthetic services we offer. Properties with shaved palms look dramatically more maintained and intentional. It's a favorite for HOAs, poolside landscaping, and front entries where first impressions matter.
Removes old leaf base stubs for a smooth trunk
Dramatically improves curb appeal and property value
Popular for poolside, entrances, and commercial properties
Done carefully to avoid injuring the trunk
Pruning and trimming aren't the same thing. Pruning is more precise — it's about understanding which fronds serve the tree's health and which are ready to come off, without stressing the canopy by removing too much at once.
Improper pruning — particularly "hurricane cutting" that leaves only a tiny cluster at the top — weakens the tree, reduces growth, and increases wind vulnerability. We prune the right amount, at the right time, using the right technique for each palm species in our region.
Species-specific technique — not one-size-fits-all
Preserves tree structure and long-term health
Avoids over-pruning that stresses and weakens palms
Recommended seasonally for optimal results
Most palm problems start underground. Nutrient deficiencies — particularly in potassium, magnesium, and manganese — are extremely common in Southern Utah's alkaline soils and show up as yellowing fronds, stunted growth, or a dying crown.
We use palm-specific fertilizers designed for the unique chemistry of desert soils. Applied on the right schedule, fertilization strengthens root systems, deepens the color of fronds, improves growth rates, and significantly extends the healthy lifespan of your palms.

Corrects and prevents nutrient deficiencies
Strengthens root systems and improves drought resistance
Recommended 2–3 times per year for best results
Southern Utah winters can surprise palm owners. While most of our region's palms are cold-hardy, extended freezes, frost events, and dramatic temperature swings can still cause significant damage — especially to newer or less established trees.
Our winter preparation service includes pre-freeze assessment, proper frond management to protect the bud, insulation wrapping for vulnerable varieties, and post-freeze care to help damaged trees recover. Don't wait until spring to discover the damage — prepare before the cold hits.
